据《VOVNEWS》报道，2010年8月8日，越南佛教僧伽会中央委员会代表团一行在德国举办庆祝盂兰盆会活动。盂兰盆节，一个孩子对父母表达感恩和感谢的佛教节日。在活动中，　越南佛教僧伽会中央委员会执行会议常任副主席Thich　Chon　Thien法师为到场的佛教信众和当地的越南居民讲解了这个节日的重要性。
　　随后，Thich　Chon　Thien法师和他的信众按照佛教仪规组织了庄严的庆祝活动。
　　对于海外的父母亲来说，这是一个教育他们的孩子学会仁义，学会对父母尊重，学会热爱自己祖国的好机会。
　　这是越南佛教僧伽会为让居住在欧洲国家的越南信众对佛教信仰、越南佛教僧伽会保持兴趣的第二次行动。同时，这样的的活动也让海外的越南信众意识到对佛教信仰、对越南佛教僧伽会关注是越南宗教社区不可分割的一部分。（编译：慧心）

　　Vietnamese　in　Germany　celebrate　Buddhist　festival
　　A　delegation　from　the　Vietnam　Buddhist　Shangha　(VBS)　Central　Committee　arrived　in　the　German　city　of　Dresden　on　August　8　to　celebrate　the　Vu　Lan　festival　(a　Buddhist　holiday　to　express　people’s　gratefulness　and　appreciation　to　their　parents).
At　the　event,　Most　Venerable　Thich　Chon　Thien,　Permanent　Vice　Chairman　of　the　VBS　Central　Committee’s　Executive　Council,　preached　about　the　significance　of　the　festival　to　Buddhist　followers　and　Vietnamese　residents　in　Germany.
　　Thien　and　his　followers　then　organised　a　solumn　ceremony　in　compliance　with　Buddhist　rituals.
　　This　was　an　excellent　chance　for　overseas　parents　to　educate　their　children　about　humanity,　respect　for　their　parents,　and　a　love　for　their　home　country.
　　This　is　the　second　journey　to　keep　alive　the　Buddhist　faith　and　the　VBS　interest　in　overseas　Buddhist　followers　in　European　countries,　an　inseparable　part　of　the　Vietnamese　religious　community.
